Course Description
A metadata repository is a software tool that stores descriptive information about the data model used to store and share metadata. Metadata repositories combine diagrams and text, enabling metadata integration and change. A successful repository allows an organization to create a high-level conception or map of its data, while also providing better data usage across systems.
The “What is…?” series of data fundamentals courses, along with associated packaged Learning Plans, are meant to help data and non-data professionals build a common language and understanding between them on significant data-related topics such as Data Management, Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Modeling, Data Architecture, and many others.
These courses provide a means to develop a level of cooperative understanding between business users, executives, teams, and technical professionals across your organization, so that everyone can be on the same page as you move forward with your data programs and initiatives.
