Tutorial Description

How is your organization going to get started with Data Governance? Or for many organizations, start Data Governance again. This class will cover:

• DO SOMETHING - Defining the steps YOUR organization requires
• Defining the value proposition of your program
• Obtaining true sponsorship and engagement from leadership (forget buy-in – it is already there, it isn’t helping)
• Determining what elements and capabilities of managing data assets you need to bring to bear
• Fitting in data literacy/data acumen
• Determining if your approach is little ”g,” or Big “G” 

Throughout the class, John will identify critical success factors and help you avoid typical roadblocks and pitfalls. Attendees will leave with a template to classify their situation and determine an approach.
