Course Description
A data catalog is another category of Metadata Management that provides information on the content and quality of data sets. It is slightly different than a business glossary in that it mainly provides metadata at a data set or data source level, rather than at a data entity level.
In this course, we discuss how data catalogs support Data Governance and some of the unique features that enable a more flexible, agile Data Governance program. We review a variety of use cases for a data catalog that help organizations improve data access and sharing, as well as facilitate collaboration.
