Course Description

This course gives you a step-by-step guide on to how to build a graph data model in a top-down manner, starting with the business-facing concepts and ending with a running physical data model (using the open-source Cypher graph query language).

Purpose

To discuss practical modeling guidelines built on an example use case, starting with a conceptual model through a logical solution model, and finally to a physical data model.

Outcome

Based on a user story you will learn how to produce:

• A business-facing concept model representing the user story
• A solution-level property graph data model answering all major concerns (uniqueness, updateability, etc.)
• A physical-property graph data model (in Cypher, an open-source property graph language)

All scripts etc. can be adopted at home.
