EDW Fall 23: Managers Are the Center of the Universe - Successful Data Management and Reporting From the Middle

**This is Subscription-Only Content, It is NOT purchasable as a separate product**

Managers can be both the secret weapon to data strategy success and the derailers of operational transformation. As (literally) the center of an organization's ecosystem, they comprise the critical middle layer between interpreting leadership vision and facilitating the execution of directives to meet strategic business goals. Middle managers and their teams are asked not only to carry out their company's data strategy and objectives but also to implement processes for collecting clean data and generating data-based reporting while performing the accompanying critical analysis. It's a lot.

In this presentation, we will discuss how data strategy, data governance, and execution impact an organization's layers beyond the CDO. We will also share insights and practices that:

  • Highlight why key data strategy stakeholders go beyond the C-suite and should include middle management
  • Discuss why some industries must include front-line team leaders during the planning and decision-making process
  • Illustrate the manager's point of view (POV) when evaluating data to make decisions that impact operations, systems, and job responsibilities
  • Showcase lessons learned from an ERP environment and more
