EDW Fall 23: Adopting International Data Standards into the Enterprise Data Model

The session focuses on our journey over the past 6 months of using data management practices when adopting international data standards.

The practices covered will include:

  • Data architecture, the planning for the new data standard, the changes to the data landscape, and the strategic and tactical decisions made during the initiative.
  • Data modeling, the alignment of the data standard with the enterprise conceptual data model, the enhancement to the design of the enterprise logical data model, and the specification of the physical data models used for data exchange and storage.
  • Data governance, the assurance that only the data in scope is being sourced and consistent algorithms are used to create consistent reporting results.
