• Used a semantic approach that replaced work done in disparate Excel, PDF, and HTML documents
• Defined glossaries, reference datasets, and technical assets with a small group
• Created a federated collection of interagency data, services, and applications

This new semantic helped the Agency coordinate the terminology, policy, planning, and on-the-ground activities between agencies, states/territories, tribal nations, NPOs, and over 3,000 county and local governments. In addition, this project helped the Agency see the value of - and path to - a data-centric enterprise, which will reduce the amount of time spent searching for, understanding, and using data to support critical activities of the Agency and its stakeholders in the future.
