How to Use a Data-Centric Approach to Support Business Transformation

What does it really mean to be a "Data-Centric Organization"? Why should we be thinking about this as a priority for our Data Management Programs?

In this presentation, we'll share a real-world example of how using innovative approaches to data governance, including a knowledge graph database, can provide mission value that results in stakeholders and stewards seeing data management as a business multiplier. The struggle to develop business support for Data Management and Governance is real. This example shows how developing partnerships between business and data supports both.

We will cover:

  • The business problem we were trying to solve
  • The processes, formal and informal, we applied to create understanding and support
  • Demo of the knowledge graph Enterprise Data Governance tool that enables the business capabilities
  • Discussion of how this data-centric approach created a partnership that serves our community
  • Answers to your questions so you can apply this in your own business and data community
