DMBK1: The Data Management Process, DMBoK, and Overview of the CDMP Certification
The course sets the foundation for the entire DMBoK and CDMP® Preparation Learning Plan. It discusses what Data Management is, along with drivers and issues concerning organizations. It presents the intended purpose and scope of the DAMA International Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK®), as well as gives a full overview of the disciplines within. Other topics included in this course are changes in the DMBoK and relationships of the DMBoK to other frameworks such as TOGAF and COBIT.
Course Description
The course sets the foundation for the entire DMBoK and CDMP® Preparation Learning Plan. It discusses what Data Management is, along with drivers and issues concerning organizations. It presents the intended purpose and scope of the DAMA International Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK®), as well as gives a full overview of the disciplines within. Other topics included in this course are changes in the DMBoK and relationships of the DMBoK to other frameworks such as TOGAF and COBIT.
It also covers all of the details around the DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) exams, including what they are, the levels, progression through levels, exam coverage, and much more.
The DAMA International-endorsed Learning Plan was developed by DATAVERSITY, DAMA International, and Christopher Bradley, the former VP of Professional Development at DAMA.
