In supporting our vision, we have established a formal framework to be the primary, authoritative resource for data governance practices. This framework, the DGPO CAP (Core Areas of Practice), unofficially referred to as the DGPO Hexy and sometimes referred to affectionately as the "Sexy Hexy" (because we know that being a data governance professional is really the sexiest job around - no offense data scientists), represents the six core areas of practice and is the foundation for all the content and best practices the DGPO will continue to share going forward.

Kira Chuchom is the Founder and President of True Data Value, LLC, a data management consulting and educational services firm that helps organizations and individuals with data strategy formulation, data governance implementation, data quality improvement, data analytics enablement, and practical techniques to enhance data literacy in real-world scenarios.
Kira is a Data Evangelist, a data professional with 25+ years of hands-on experience and expertise in Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Quality, Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, MDM, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, and has been in leadership roles at Alteryx, Inc., New Relic, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, Cisco Systems, Inc., and at eBay, Inc.
Kira also actively contributes to the advancement of the Data Governance practice through volunteer work with the Data Governance Professionals Organization (DGPO), and has served as DGPO’s Data Governance Best Practices Working Group Lead, and is the incoming President of the DGPO.
