**This is Subscription-Only Content, It is NOT purchasable as a separate product**

Does “Data Governance” make people cringe when you say it? Too often, governance is seen as rigid, bureaucratic, and disconnected from business realities. But Data Stewards know the truth: you’re on the front lines, balancing policy with practicality and turning rules into real-world action.

Traditional governance enforces one-size-fits-all rules, ignoring business context and human capacity. It’s like cooking the same meal every night—technically correct, but uninspired and unsustainable.

This session introduces Adaptive Data Governance—a flexible, context-aware approach that empowers stewards to make smarter, more relevant decisions. We’ll explore how to move beyond rigid frameworks and position governance as an enabler, not an obstacle. You’ll learn how to:

  • Align governance with real-world data needs and organizational priorities
  • Empower teams to make informed, context-driven decisions
  • Drive adoption through collaboration and practical tools

If you’re ready to transform governance from a compliance checkbox into a strategic advantage, this session is for you.

Speaker: Beth Jones, HR Data Governance Lead, Humana

Beth Jones is a seasoned Data Governance professional with over two decades of experience in data and analytics, including the last 10 years advancing Data Governance practices at Humana. In late 2024, Beth transitioned into a strategic role leading Data Governance within Humana’s Human Resources function. By establishing data domains and aligning owners and stewards, Beth enabled the HR organization to embrace Data Governance—demonstrating how a flexible, context-aware approach can drive adoption and impact. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.
