DGIQ-EDW25: Eliminating Data Quality Risks From Your Next Major Project

**This is Subscription-Only Content, It is NOT purchasable as a separate product**

While major system replacements come with a number of risks, the quality of data converted from a legacy system to a new system plays a critical role in the ultimate success or failure of the project. How does a Chief Information Officer (CIO) know if data is of sufficient quality as the project heads toward the Go Live? What data quality insights should be collected, and how are they used to manage the project?

In this presentation, Steve Munson, Chief Information Officer at American University, and C. Lwanga Yonke, Founder and President, Padouk Consulting, LLC, will share best practices for eliminating data quality risks from IT projects. The presentation draws from a recent American University’s ERP implementation whose success was enabled by a rigorous focus on data quality, and from a variety of other projects. Topics include:

  • Mitigating the risks associated with poor data quality
  • Developing a data quality measurement and improvement plan
  • Benefits of a structured focus on data quality for major system replacements or other digital transformation projects
