Valerie Calvo is Vice President of Data Governance & Enablement at BankUnited, where she is developing and helping to realize a data transformation strategy and data governance framework. She has more than 15 years of experience in data management and governance, creating policies, standards, and processes for metadata, reference and master data, and data quality. Prior to joining BankUnited, Valerie led global data governance teams at CBRE Investment Management and Bloomberg.

Valerie is a CDMP and holds Certificates in the Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) v2.2 (EDM Council) and Advanced Data Analytics (General Assembly). She is also an attorney admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
