Finally, we will share stories of being bold and living into our passion that will inspire women to take the leap and champion their own vision.
Speaker: Laurie Nelsen
Laurie Nelsen, Semantic Solutions Engineer at TopQuadrant, was an early adopter of the semantic web vision and semantic technologies because of the superpowers they bring to managing and governing our data and information to make it interoperable so that we can find, access, and reuse our valuable assets to increase productivity and creativity in the work that we do.
Laurie has experience developing information architecture solutions in a variety of sectors including education, finance, non-profit, and healthcare, and was an Ontology Manager at Mayo Clinic, where she led the implementation of TopBraid EDG to support the management and delivery of content.
A life-long learner, Laurie is an experienced educator working with all ages, pre-k to adults. She also completed her MLIS degree (Masters of Library and Information Science) as well as a Bachelor's in psychology. She is passionate about the workings of the human brain and semantics.
When she needs a break from wrangling disorganized data and information, you will find her hanging out with her adopted wild donkey Jed and enjoying the beauty of the Ozark Mountains.
