Enterprise data governance is not intuitively obvious because of overlapping responsibilities and business processes between multiple stakeholder groups in large organizations. In government agencies, the challenges to comprehensive data governance are often compounded by legislative, regulatory, policy, budgetary, and contractual requirements and constraints. This presentation will offer a full-enterprise perspective on data governance across a DMBK 2.0-compliant data asset lifecycle ranging from initial Investment Management to Data Retirement. Our goal is to share an integrated view of holistic governance, recommended best practices, and a rational division of responsibilities at each stage in the data lifecycle.
