Carol Kim

Carol Kim is an Executive Director at IBM, a world leader in information technology headquartered in Armonk, New York, with more than 250,000 employees operating in over 170 countries. The Global Chief Data Office’s mission is to deliver a trusted enterprise-wide data and AI backbone for transforming IBM into an AI enterprise. Carol leads a team of subject matter and domain experts to deliver new users to the Enterprise Data & AI Platform, determines capabilities that need to be developed, and transforms data into business value across all IBM processes and business units. She also leads 3rd Party Marketplace and ingestion to provide centralized acquisition, governance, management, and oversight of external data assets across the enterprise. In addition, Carol manages the Global Chief Data Office finances, business operations, and business controls.
Carol brings more than 18 years of experience in IBM leadership roles that span many different Finance & Operations disciplines (Chief Data Office, Finance & Planning, Pricing, Treasury), geographies (USA, Asia Pacific), and business models (Services, Hardware, Software). A highly-experienced collaborator, she has led dozens of global, multi-functional teams to the successful delivery of key business objectives–data discovery and value creation, strategic business model development, financial solutions for strategic outsourcing deals, pricing process transformation, delegation, and tools.
Carol Kim is a board member of the IBM Asian Business Resource Group, a member of the IBM CorporateService Corp, and an active volunteer at Girls and Boys GoTech Know camps. Carol is a US Certified Public Accountant, a Harvard Business School alumna, and is based in Westchester, New York. In 2022, Carol was selected to join the prestigious Global Data Power Women List by CDO Magazine.
John Moran

John Moran leads the Data Governance Enablement team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, with more than 145,000 employees operating in over 150 countries. The Data Governance Enablement team is a center of excellence that provides tools and methodologies that enable the business to drive improvements to their data and processes so that they can protect and trust their data, improve their productivity, and make better decisions to deliver on the expectations of both internal and external customers.
Prior to his role as DGE Leader, John spent over 10 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific leading a 70+ member global Product Data Management organization that was responsible for maintaining the data on close to one million products and supported over 20 acquisitions and product portfolio integrations.
Kathy Rondon

Kathy Rondon is a data governance thought leader and educator who has worked as a government employee and contractor in information management and data governance for nearly 30 years. Most of her career has focused on the proper handling, classifications, controls, and clearance of national security data, and she has recently applied this expertise to designing and delivering enterprise-level training on the governance of public sector data assets. Her current areas of focus are data ethics and data curation. She is the author of We The People: A Playbook for Data Ethics in a Democratic Society.

In his role he specializes in on helping customers with data strategy and execution, developing and delivering thought leadership around data, and influencing product development. BigID enables organizations to know their enterprise data and take action for privacy, protection, and perspective. Prior to BigID, Stephen developed and executed data strategies for EMC, Dell and Bose.
