How Shaw Industries Built a Data Governance Program in 90 Days

Shaw Industries has manufactured flooring product for over 55 years. Seeking to strengthen its status as a market innovator, Shaw discovered that its data quality wasn’t always consistent across its decades of customer and product information. While this is a familiar narrative, Shaw’s story is unique is how quickly it moved to stand up solutions and gain adoption. Last summer, the data governance team operationalized new tools to find, understand, and trust all their data, marrying Cloud Data Quality, Axon Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Catalog with promotional elements to market their work internally. The result is an engaged community ready to innovated for the next 55 years.

Amy Horowitz

Amy Horowitz is the VP of the Data Governance Sales Specialist team for Informatica. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry, Amy's passion around Data Governance and Data Intelligence led her to Informatica. Prior to Informatica, Amy spent time in IT as well as direct sales leadership roles. Amy is a native Texas whole loves all things Data! Outside of work, Amy spends time mentoring kids and participating on an Advisory Board at Texas State University for the CIS program. Amy is based in Austin, TX.
