Course Description

This course highlights the various steps of implementation recovery and introduces a case study that examines the database behind the WordPress software for creating websites. You will learn how to assess the inputs available for DBRE (such as data structure, documentation, and data) and create an implementation recovery data model.

Purpose

This is the first step where we carefully examine schema and other inputs.

Outcome:

• Realize the importance of systematic implementation recovery
• Learn to be observant in looking for flaws and patterns in existing schema
• Follow the example using erwin or the example using ER/Studio
