Why organizations need governance, and how it earns support. Covers business drivers and the business case; ethics and responsible data governance; data privacy, security, and compliance; stakeholder communication, commitment, and engagement; measuring governance ROI and business value; and change management in data governance. 

Day 2 — Knowledge Area Two: Data Governance Foundations 

The structures that make governance repeatable. Covers the data governance conceptual framework; data quality and its role in governance; metadata management and governance; the data governance toolkit; governance supporting data initiatives such as MDM, RDM, analytics, and migrations; and principles, policies, and standards. 

Day 3 — Knowledge Area Three: Data Governance in Practice 

Putting governance to work and sustaining it. Covers frameworks and organizational structures; foundations of data stewardship; governance program management; governance project management; implementing or revitalizing a governance program; and risk management and data governance.
