The ADGP Lunch and Learn Study Group provides a collaborative and engaging environment for professionals preparing for the Applied Data Governance Practitioner certification exam or looking to strengthen their practical data governance knowledge.

Led by Mark Horseman, ADGP and CDMP Master, each session will explore ADGP-style questions based on the Applied Data Governance Body of Knowledge. The ADGP certification focuses on applied judgment across three Knowledge Areas: Business Imperatives for Data Governance, Data Governance Foundations, and Data Governance in Practice._

During each session, participants will have an opportunity to consider each question independently and optionally share their responses. Mark will then reveal and discuss the best answer, explain the reasoning behind it, and connect the question to relevant concepts in the ADG Body of Knowledge. The discussions will help participants move beyond memorizing definitions and strengthen their ability to identify the most appropriate governance action in realistic organizational situations.

These sessions are intended to be practical, supportive, and interactive. Participants can ask questions, learn from one another, clarify difficult concepts, and build greater confidence as they prepare for the ADGP certification exam.

Who Should Attend

The ADGP Study Group is designed for:

• Professionals preparing to take the ADGP certification exam
• Learners currently completing ADGP training or the ADGP micro-credentials
• Data governance practitioners who want additional practice applying governance concepts
• Data stewards, data owners, analysts, managers, and project leaders with governance responsibilities
• Anyone interested in strengthening their understanding of practical, business-focused data governance

The sessions may also benefit participants who are not yet ready to take the exam but want to review the ADG Body of Knowledge and learn how its concepts apply to real-world governance decisions.
